What follows shall be Breach of Faith's guild charter. Within the charter shall be Breach of Faith's code of conduct, to be signed by members.
Breach of Faith's General Purpose
Breach of Faith shall consider itself first a family guild and second a 10 man casual raiding guild. We shall accept into our ranks any member of the server who desires a place to call home.
Breach of Faith's Code of Conduct
Members of Breach of Faith shall conduct themselves in a respectful manner to their fellow members and to the server at large. This includes being respectful in heroics and raids performed outside of Breach's walls. The tag under your name represents the guild as a whole and should be treated with the honor it deserves. Breach of Faith's officers and GM should never be approached by someone outside of the guild to discuss a member's poor behavior.
Members of Breach shall treat one another as friends. Disagreements should be discussed calmly outside of guild chat. If an appropriate solution cannot be reached, the matter may be brought to the attention of the officers to resolve.
Cussing, while not outlawed in guild chat or vent, should be kept to a reasonable minimum.
Using raid symbols in guild chat is not allowed.
Breach of Faith's guild bank is open for use by members. That being said, members should not remove fish feast or obvious raid flask ingredients. If you happen to look in the herbs tab a large number of herbs have been deposited in a short amount of time, especially by officers, these are not to be removed without permission. Most likely the officers are making a push to create flasks for raid. High cost or difficult to procure items (including enchanting materials in the first tab) and all items in the officer tab of the bank can be purchased for a member's use from the guild bank for half of market cost.
Removing items from the bank to sell on the auction house or in trade for personal gain is strictly forbidden. Anyone found to be engaging in this behavior shall immediately be removed from the guild and barred from re-entry.
Drama of any sort that disrupts the guild shall result in the participating members' demotions or removals. Breach of Faith is a place of respite and fun.
On Ranks and Permissions
O-chat (officer chat) rank shall be reserved for those members disrupting the guild or at long absence. Upon this rank, members have no permissions except to see and speak in officer chat so that officers may mediate any dispute.
Alt rank shall be for the alt of any member of rank Bear or above. Permissions are restricted on this level to the basics. Any alt found to have not logged in for over a month shall be removed until such time as the member is going to play it regularly, at which point it will be welcome to rejoin Breach.
Cub rank shall be for all new members of Breach. The minimum amount of time spent on Cub rank is 30 days from the date of join. During this time the officers and established members of the guild shall be observing interactions of cubs with established members to determine whether a promotion to Bear or removal from the guild is appropriate. Any Cub found to have not logged in for over 15 days while on this rank at the time of 30 days shall be removed from the guild along with any of their alts.
Bear rank shall be for general membership of the guild. This entails access to guild repairs and general access to the guild bank, as well as safety from being removed from the guild due to long absence up to 4 months. Bears are welcome to attend raids if there is space.
War Bear rank shall be the rank acquired by those members who attend 3 or more progression raids (those only held on Saturdays at 7:30pm server to apply) in a month and have also been in the guild longer than 3 months. War Bears shall enjoy a higher guild repair allotment and the same access permissions as Elder Bear. An authenticator is required to hold this rank. War Bears who do not attend 3 or more raids in a month shall be moved to Elder Bear rank.
Elder Bear rank shall be the rank acquired by those members of Breach who do not attend 3 or more raids but have been in the guild for more than 3 months. Elder Bears shall enjoy the same permissions as War Bear. An authenticator is required to hold this position.
Zombie Bear rank shall be the officer and officer alt rank. There shall not be less than 4 permanent officers. Current officers are Hikariko (also the head raid leader), Vlasria (also a raid leader), Milyardo, and Anoladon.
Skullbear rank shall be the guild master's rank. This position is held by Kedreeva.
On Raiding
Breach of Faith shall perform at least one 10-man raid of the current end-game tier per week. This raid shall be performed on Saturdays at 7:30pm EST (server) time except in the case of major holidays occurring on the day or following day (for example, if Christmas or Christmas Eve falls upon a Saturday). Breach of Faith shall always where able perform two 10-man raids of the end-game content, where any pugs necessary shall be obtained and deposited in the head raid leader's group. In the event that Breach of Faith decides to run three 10-man raids of the end-game content, the same shall apply, where any pugs necessary shall be obtained and deposited in the head raid leader's group.
No applicant shall be turned away based on raiding experience or gear, however applicants desiring to join the 10 man raiding teams may be required to experience training with an officer or more knowledgeable member before attending progression raiding. This training may include chat sessions, gear building, and heroics or lower-tier raiding experience with established Breach of Faith members until the officers determine the member will not be an undue hazard to the rest of the raid.
Breach of Faith shall run old world mount or achievement raids together on Thursdays beginning at 7pm EST (server). These will include Obsidium Sanctum (Sartharion), Eye of Eternity (Malygos), and Onyxia's Lair (Onyxia). Additionally these evenings may include one or more of the following for mounts, achievements, or titles: Ulduar, Icecrown Citadel, Trial of the Champion, Naxxramas, and any raid which occurred prior to the launch of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Tuesday nights at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons at 1pm shall be reserved for current expansion non-end-game content.
Rolls for gear in end-game content shall be 1-100 rolls for main spec, 1-50 rolls for off spec and 1-25 rolls for transmogrification. The main spec of a main toon shall be considered of seniority over the main spec of an alt toon unless the alt toon was specifically requested by the officers. Raid leaders reserve the right to make judgement calls about the assignment of loot to members. Raid leaders shall use their best judgement and consider the health of the guild when making use of this reservation.
All raiders will be expected to be willing and able to join our Ventrilo server. Anyone desiring to raid who cannot use Ventrilo will unfortunately be excluded from the event. No member shall be required to have a microphone for Ventrilo; it is only mandatory to listen, not to speak.
During raids, Ventrilo shall be kept clear of speech except for those explanations and calls made by the raid leader or designated member. Raid chat may be used for discussion.
Breach of Faith shall consider itself one family, one team, in all matters of raiding. In the event of two or more 10-man raids performing, both raids shall be considered "core" and equal. Members in a group one week may find themselves in another group the next week. The constants for the two groups shall be their designated raid leaders. Absolutely no trash talking of either group by the other shall be permitted; their failures are your failures, their successes are your successes. Occurrences of this behavior shall be immediately addressed by any officer or established member present. Continued occurrences may result in removal from the guild via our zero tolerance for disruptive drama.
Those desiring to run end-game content on their alts may do so. Listing a raid on the calendar for guild members may be done, but the listing member should assure that no member brings their main to an alt raid. Under no circumstances should a member arrive to the Saturday end-game raid already saved to it on their main. When advertising a raid for alts in trade or general, the use of Breach of Faith's name to tag the run as a guild run is not permitted unless the group is running with one of the established raid leaders.
Those desiring to run Looking for Raid will be allowed to do so. A guild LFR shall usually be started at 7:30pm server on Wednesdays.
This charter is here for display to non members and is subject to change without notice.
A signable copy for members is located in the news and announcement forum.
